  • The amphitheatre in Fréjus is worth a visit. It once seated up to 10,000 spectators and is still used today for various performances.

Food on the Côte d’Azur

The cuisine on the Côte d’Azur is influenced by its proximity to Italy. It’s common to end a meal with fruit, particularly strawberries, peaches, and ripe figs. Banon, a regional goat’s cheese, has a rich, nutty flavour. To sample the local specialties, be sure to stop by a *Bistrot de Pays*, where you’ll find traditional dishes made with local ingredients.
