    The Grand Canal is the widest street in Venice and from this canal you can see many of Venice's beautiful spots by gondola. Alternatively, you can take a water bus to travel the 3.5 kilometres of canal and see all the beautiful city palaces such as Ca d'Oro. In fact, you should do the tour on the Grand Canal both during the day and in the evening when everything is beautifully lit.
